  • Window Treatments? Spend More or Go Frugal?

There are certain details related to home decor which make a house look like a home.  Nice flooring would be one detail which can add to the coziness of a home.  Along with that, quality window treatments really add to the atmosphere.  I would love to purchase some really great blinds for all of my windows. I was looking at this site and thought it was really cool that they offer information about their blinds using TV ads, radio ads, photography and print ads.  They carry a wide variety, including Roman, plantation, wood and aluminum blinds.  Check out http://www.nextdayblindsadvertising.com/  Have you found frugal ways to make your windows look nice or do you  think it is better to just spend a bit more for something that will last a long time?

I bought some cheap blinds and Walmart, I know some dollar type stores where everything is not a dollar also have them too. My curtains are some lace that my husband got me. He got a few hundred yards out of a dumpster at a lingerie factory. They were completely no sew, I just cut the length and the cut slots in the top to slide the rod through. Then I have valances that I got off the clearance rack at lowe's for $1. I would check out Lowes for window treatments because they often dramatically reduce prices. I actually got curtians for our house when we moved in there. It was 15 windows and it cost around $35 total to do all of them. You have to go tothe store though to get the clearance, I never find as good clearance online. I know last time I was in there they did have blinds clearenced but didn't pay much attention as I don't need them right now.
